Personal Insights

Basically this is my insight for this week: I think that this whole blog thing is a complete waste of time. I do not feel that any of this will help any of the problems that we decided to write about. I do not see the point of it, and feel that it is solely “busy work”. I feel that the structure of the class is a bogus, ridiculous and utter waste of time. I think it is pointless to force people to talk about global issues for 50 mins. when no one knows what they are talking about, only to have them to return to their daily lives. UGH.

UPDATE (11/06/07):

Sorry for the ranting, I was having a bad day and my internet was really shoddy. Anyways, I am sort of actually getting this whole blog thing now. I am pretty confident in understanding how this whole blog thing works and am now actually pretty proud of what I have accomplished. My site looks really full of good, solid, useful information, and really nicely organized. However, I am not sure if I will be able to keep this up after Q-Class ends, it was nice having Q-Class there to kind of push me to complete this and keep moving on it, but I’m not sure if I am going to have that same drive once Q-Class is finished. I am understanding now the point of this whole project, it was never meant to make me feel horrible un-tech-savy or devestatingly un-cultured/un-informed. It was actually quite the opposite. It was to make me tackle a fear of technology, help me see a world issue I was either not too familiar with or did not even know exisited. This blog helped me to stay ontop of world events that I would have certainly missed out on otherwise.
